Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission manhandled journalists at its head office in Abuja on Friday as a group of activists, including the convener, Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, submitted a petition.
Other activists who signed the petition were Ariyo-Dare Atoye of the Coalition in Defence of Nigerian Democracy and Constitution; and Adebayo Raphael of the Free Nigeria Movement.
The convener of Concerned Nigerians Deji Adeyanju submitted a petition to the EFCC to investigate Tinubu on Friday.
EFCC is empowered by law to prevent, investigate, prosecute and penalise economic and financial crimes and is charged with the responsibility of enforcing the provisions of other laws and regulations relating to economic and financial crimes.
Assuming that it was Atiku Abubakar who despatched the Bullion vans to his house on the eve of presidential election; even without petitions; what do you think EFCC would have done ?
