Manchester City fans were left incensed after the first ever Premier League goal to be ruled out by VAR occurred during their season opener against West Ham, in a game which did not reflect too well for the new technology.
It was only the second Premier League game in which the new system came into play, having been used but not required during Liverpool’s opening 4-1 victory against Norwich.
