Politics is a game of numbers; in Kogi State; Igala determines who rules the State because of their numerical strength.
Nevertheless; whoever the Igala people support will always carry the day.
Yahaya Bello came from the minority tribe, Igbira and doesn’t have the support of the Igala people. Hence, his chances of returning back are very slim coupled with his woeful performance.
Dino Melaye came from the Yoruba speaking of Kogi State and doesn’t enjoy the majority votes of the Igala tribe.
Mona Mustapha Audu, the son of late Abubakar Audu hailed from Igala but from APC Party. He enjoys the majority votes of the Igala people.
But nevertheless; Engr Musa Wada hailed from Igala as well but from the PDP party.
Assuming PDP and APC select both candidates from Igala; both Igbira and Yoruba Kogi will become battle grounds.
For now; until after the primaries, we can really tell you the direction of the pendulum.
